Willis Earl Deal

Mr. Willis Earl Deal, 77, of Huntersville, NC died Friday, July 20, 2012 at his residence. Born August 21, 1935 in Craven County NC he was a son of the late James and Mildred Rowes Deal. He was employed with numerous trucking companies as a truck driver, most recently, Akers and Yellow Freight when he retired. He loved working in his yard and garden and was an avid card player, especially poker. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday July 23 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Catherine Deal and Vickie Parks of Huntersville, Debbie D. Wikander and husband "Smurf" of Charlotte; son, Clinton Deal and Sweetheart, Sherry of Huntersville; grandchildren, Heather (Thomas), Jennifer, Shannon, Megan, Christopher (Nancy); great granddaughter, Emma; brother, William Deal; sisters, Betty Jo Modlin, Becky Kirkpatrick and Lucy Price; sister-in-law, Jackie Davis; nephews, James, Jeff, Michael; nieces, Mildred, Cynthia, Lisa; numerous extended family and friends and his beloved canines, "Porky" and "Rowdy" and feline, "The Cat". In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carol Davis Deal, November 2011 and a brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 2316 Randolph Road, Charlotte, NC 28207 .
