William ‘Bill’ Eugene Wagoner, 75, of Mooresville, NC passed away on April 27, 2021.
Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1945 to the late Delroy and Ruth Ann Wagoner. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy LaNoue Wagoner.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Wagoner and Lauren Gardner; son-in-law, Brian Gardner; grandchildren, Donovan and Colette de Sousa and Evelyn and Carolyn Gardner; sisters, Marilyn Wohlart, wife of Albert Wohlart, and Nancy Anderson, wife of Dennis Anderson; along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Bill’s philosophy was, “It’s all about love.” He lived out this philosophy through happy times with his family, friends, and loyal dog Millie by enjoying fishing, sports, family vacations, and nature. He invested quality time and heartfelt words of wisdom into his relationships with his adoring grandchildren. Bill’s unparalleled work ethic won him many awards throughout his long career. Most of all, Bill inspired everyone in his life with his enduring strength and courage as he gracefully fought cancer for twenty-five years. Those lucky enough to have known him recognized him as a rare gem.
A friends and family reception will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM at Raymer-Kemper Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078.
