William Hugh Strider

William "Bill" Hugh Strider, 86, of Huntersville, NC passed away Monday May 20, 2013. Bill was born May 4, 1927 in Mecklenburg County to the late Joseph and Eunice Norkett Strider. He served his country in the US Navy and later worked for Duke Energy. Bill loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday May 23, 2013 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville with Rev. Jack Homesley officiating. Interment will follow at the Huntersville First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service, from 12:00 noon - 1:30. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty Medlin Strider; sister, Lois Hailey; step sons, Brad (Lori) Frasure, Dean Frasure; daughter, Vickie Ramsey; grandchildren, Nicholas and Joshua Strider and Morgan, Taylor, Kensington and Addison Frasure.
