William Lunger

William Fred Lunger, 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away on March 24, 2020.

Bill was born in Ithaca, NY on March 16, 1950 to the late Roger Lunger and Helen Yount Lunger.

He is survived by his life partner, Patricia Combs; son, Brad Lunger (Rhonda); daughter, Melanie Kitchen (Kyle); grandchildren, Misha, Cameron, Mikaela; step-daughters, Jean Suich, Jacqueline Ducca, Jodi Phillips; several step-grandchildren and many family and friends.

A visitation will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Happy Tails Rescue, Inc in Maiden, NC.

Bill passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, March 24. He grew up in Ithaca, NY and retired from the transportation industry to Charlotte. He spent his time playing golf, gardening, watching the Buffalo Bills and tinkering in the garage. Bill enjoyed the simple things in life and spent his final years with his loving life partner watching old Westerns and enjoying a cold Miller Lite. He graciously helped his neighbors fix up their homes and even volunteered his time and energy into fixing up the neighborhood pool so children could have a safe and happy place to play. Bill was well loved by all and will forever be missed by those who were fortunate in knowing him.
