William Kenneth Lowrance

William Kenneth Lowrance, Jr. age 62 of Huntersville, NC died Tuesday August 26, 2014 at CMC-University. Born October 11, 1951 in Mooresville, NC he was son of the late William Kenneth Lowrance, Sr and Sarah Evelyne Leckie Lowrance. Kenneth received his BS Degree in Physical Education in 1973 from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and MS Degree in Health and Safety Administration in 1974 from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a member of University City United Methodist Church, University Drama Club, active in the Paw Creek Men's Bible Study, Director of Paw Creek Children's Ministry and R.O.C.K. He was a retired teacher and coach in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System, loved the Braves, Panthers, Tar Heels, Appalachian State Football, golfing, carpentry and especially his grandkids. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at University City United Methodist Church, Charlotte, NC. Burial will follow at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mooresville, NC. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home Huntersville, NC. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Lowrance; son, Kenny Lowrance and wife Amy; daughters, Jenny L. Byrd and husband Scott, Katie L. Williams and husband Sean; stepson, Daniel Davis, Jr; stepdaughter, Shannon Helms and husband Darren; granddaughters, Zoe Helms, Chloe McLaurin, Gracie Helms; grandsons, Andrew McLaurin, Matthew Byrd, Cade Helms, Duncan Kenneth Byrd, Everett Lowrance Byrd, Graham Williams; brother, Allen Lowrance; sisters, Mary Lowrance and Virginia Snyder and numerous extended family members.
