William Harold Kerns

William Harold Kerns, 81, of Cornelius passed away Wednesday, July 17th. Visitation will be held July 19th from 6-8 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville NC 28078. Funeral services will be held at Gilead Presbyterian Church, July 20th at 11:00 am at 15303 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078. Harold was born January 15th, 1932 to Craven and Bertha Alexander Kerns. Harold had many accomplishments during his lifetime. He served as an elder and deacon at Gilead Presbyterian Church and received an honorary lifetime membership to the Lions Club. He also served in the armed forces. His love for travel earned him region Presidency with WBCCI (Air Stream Travel Club) for NC, SC, VA, GA, and FL. where he and his wife of 58 years were still active. Harold is survived by his loving wife and constant companion Martha Kerns; their son James Craven Kerns, Cornelius, NC, brother Charlie Kerns, Cornelius, NC. and his wife Susie. Many nieces, nephews, neighbors and extended family members to whom he will forever be missed. Memorials should be sent to Gilead Presbyterian Church, 15303 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
