William D. Harvie

William D. Harvie, "Grampa Bones", 91, of Huntersville, NC, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away January 7, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born April 13, 1922 to the late James and Jean Dixon Harvie. William, a World War II Veteran, was born in Dalry, Scotland and migrated to Niagara Falls in 1928. William attended local schools and graduated from Trott High School. He retired from General Motors in 1985. William is survived by his three children; William (Carol) Harvie, James (Monica) Harvie, and Debra Ellis. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rose (Bachleda) Harvie and great granddaughter Morgan Taylor Ellis. William enjoyed the last five years of his life with his daughter Debra, grandchildren Cristin and Scott(Charity) Ellis and great grandchildren Megan Ellis 10 and Haily Ellis 4 months, whom he loved deeply. There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held in Niagara Falls at the convenience of the family. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
