William Charles Darnell

William "Billy" Charles Darnell, 85, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on February 7, 2024.

Billy was born in Charlotte on July 24, 1938 to the late William Henry Darnell and Annie Mae Kinley Darnell. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Messer Darnell; son, Michael David Darnell; brother Calvin Darnell; and sister, Sophia Gant.

Billy worked for Charlotte Pipe & Foundry for 50 years and was also the owner of Darnell's Septic Tank Service.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Darnell; granddaughters, Stephanie (Coy) Spicer and Toni Lynne (Chris) Darnell; great-grandchildren, Jaryn, Riley, Christopher, Mason, Taniya and Cru; as well as his brother, Doug Darnell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 12, 2024 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte.
