William Scarr Cansler

William Scarr Cansler, 57, of Cornelius, NC passed away on July 18, 2021. He was born in La Chapelle, France on June 24, 1964 to Joe and Elsie Cansler. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Morrison Cansler; and sister, Gloria Cansler.

Scarr is survived by his wife, Julie Cansler; son, Mycroft Cansler; father, Col (R.) Joe Cansler (Phyllis); brother, Josh Cansler (Suzanne); niece, Mikayla Cansler; nephews, Alex Cansler (Caitlin), Nicholas Cansler (Jessica), and Jakob Cansler.

Scarr was born in France and graduated high school in Okinawa, Japan. He graduated from Auburn University, where he met his wife, Julie of 33 years.  He was a member of Mensa. He loved to travel along with hiking and biking. He loved his dogs, Elise and Rizzo, and also enjoyed reading, especially history.

A service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. The family will receive family and friends for a gathering from 10:00 - 11:00 am prior to the service.
