William Howard Burkhart

William "Bill" H. Burkhart, 54, of Denver, NC, passed away on March 12, 2025. Born in Altoona, PA, on December 28, 1970, Bill was the beloved son of Nellie Burkhart and the late Glenwood Burkhart.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother who brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cristine Burkhart; his cherished daughter, Madison Burkhart; his mother, Nellie Burkhart; and his brother, Dennis Burkhart. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Burkhart. Bill is also survived by his nieces and nephews, who brought him great joy.

Bill was a man of deep faith and a devoted Christian. He lived his life with a strong belief in God's love and grace. His faith guided him in all aspects of his life, providing him strength, comfort, and an unwavering hope in eternity.

Bill had a passion for life and the people around him. He never met a stranger and was a true friend to all who knew him. His happiest moments were spent on the water, boating on Lake Norman, cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and honoring his admiration for racing legend Dale Earnhardt. His presence brought laughter and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

Bill’s legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love will forever be cherished by his family and friends. His spirit will live on in the memories shared and the stories told.

A memorial service to honor Bill’s life will be held on April 5, 2025, at Lake Norman Baptist Chapel, 7921 Sam Furr Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM.
