William "Bill" J. Pierce

William "Bill" Jay Pierce, 62, of Huntersville, NC passed away suddenly on September 22, 2014. Bill was born December 7, 1951 in Wilmington, NC to the late Marlon and Louise McAughlin Pierce. Bill was a member of the United States Army Military Police and a retired Sergeant for the Columbia South Carolina Police Dept. He recently worked for Pike Electric in Huntersville. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #0321 and the Retired South Carolina Police Auxiliary. He was an avid golfer and loved beach music and shagging. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Pierce and brother, James Pierce. Bill leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife, Mary Liz Berry Pierce; beloved companion, Smokey; and many close friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 -1:00 prior to the service.
