Warren Lewis Mathews, 90, Huntersville, NC passed away Friday June 6, 2014 at the Huntersville Oaks. Warren was born December 15, 1923 in Athens, OH to the late Ray and Lena Koker Mathews. Warren was a mechanic in the Army Air Corp where his passion for aviation grew, and he eventually owned his own Stinson and Tri-Pacer. Along with his passion for Aviation, he enjoyed camping and motorcycling. He married his wife of 63 years, Eva LaVera Bingham in Amarillo, TX then moved to WV where they spent most of their life together. Warren worked for Baldwin Supply and retired from General Engineering as a salesman. After retirement he worked for Quick Delivery Service. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lurene Gift, brother, Floyd Mathews and one grandchild. Warren leaves to cherish his memory; daughter Rebecca Sheppard and her husband Scott of Charlotte, NC; son Donald Mathews of Cross Lanes, WV; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 11am at the Forest Memorial Park in Milton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Vets Association, P.O.
