Walter Warren Mulligan, Jr., 85, of Huntersville, NC passed away May 13, 2017 at Novant Health - Huntersville.
Walter was born in Savanah, GA on July 28, 1931 to the late Walter Warren Mulligan and Gladys Grey Mulligan.
He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with 20 years of service. He served in the Korean Conflict, the Cuban Uprising and Vietnam.
Walter was a member of the American Legion Post #1981 of Huntersville, he loved NASCAR and model airplanes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Canipe Mulligan; sister, Barbara Mulligan; all of his beloved "four legged" children; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
