HUNTERSVILLE, NC Mrs. Vivian Louise Johnson, 90 year old resident of several local assisted living facilities, passed away on Thanksgiving evening with loving care at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Oklahoma, born in Wynnwood and raised in Oklahoma City. She married Bernard Tee Johnson in 1942 and they were married for 69 years. Bernard died in 2011. She raised three boys while Bernard worked for Boeing in Wichita, Seattle and Philadelphia. She was an accomplished golfer having won the Pennsylvania's Concordville Country Club Ladies Championship six years in a row. She was also the South Carolina Houndslake Country Club Ladies Champion three times. In 1980 she was the Delaware State Woman's Senior Champion. Adding to her long list of golf achievements, she also had a hole-in-one. She was a long time member of the Country Gardeners of Aiken, SC. Vivian Louise Johnson's parents were Earl and Illa Stewart of Oklahoma City. She is survived by her sister, Towana Mitchell of Austin, Texas and her son, Ronald Tee Johnson of Banner Elk, NC. She is also survived by her son David and wife Karen, of Huntersville, NC and Sally Johnson, daughter-in-law, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her son Alan passed away in 1984. Memorial may be made to the Huntersville United Methodist Church, PO Box 378, Huntersville, NC 28070.
