Virginia Fesperman

  Virginia R. Fesperman, 97, of Davidson, NC, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5.

  Ginny, as she was known to friends and family, was born in Chester, PA., on September 30, 1925 to the late Margaret Huggins Robinson and Daniel C. Robinson.

   After losing her mother at an early age, Ginny grew up in Charlotte with her cousin, Sarah Cooksey McGinnis, and her loving aunt and uncle, Dreddie and Oliver Cooksey. She was a graduate of Central High School, and a 1948 graduate of Charlotte Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing. In 1950 she married Billy Brown Fesperman, her husband of 72 years.

    As a Registered Nurse, Ginny was caring and compassionate. As a mother, a wife, a friend and a neighbor, she was a loyal and generous soul, a wonderful storyteller, a quick wit, and fiercely protective of everyone she loved. In her later years, her greatest joy was visiting with her family, especially her two grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Billy B. Fesperman; her daughter, Laverne Fesperman; son, Dan Fesperman; and grandchildren, Emma and Will Fesperman.

     A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Davidson Room of The Pines, 400 Avinger Ln., in Davidson. Memorial donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, at worldwildlife.org.
