Vincent Andrew Boldin

October 5, 1947 — October 26, 2023

Lubbock, TX

Vincent Andrew Boldin, Jr., age 76, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on October 26, 2023.

Vincent was born in Williamsport, PA on October 5, 1947 to the late Vincent Andrew Boldin, Sr. and the late Dorothy Mae Boldin.  In 1956 the family moved to Deloit, Iowa and later to Denison, Iowa.

Vincent graduated from Denison High School and attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences, majoring in History, in 1969.  After graduating college, he was drafted into the US Army, but he instead chose to enlist in the United States Navy.  He planned to volunteer to be a Submariner, but later changed his focus to Photographic Intelligence.  He served during the Vietnam War.

After his US Naval discharge, he pursued a long career in Real Estate.  He worked in both Residential Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate.  In addition, he was an entrepreneur who owned and co-owned several construction businesses.  He was a hard worker, some might say a work-a-holic, and he knew the value of being a hard worker.

Vincent enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, boating, golfing, playing cards, watching movies, and enjoying fabulous fare at all the trendiest spots.  He lit up a room with his charisma and sarcasm.

Perhaps his fondest hobby was hosting summer vacations for his 3 kids on his boat on Lake Erie while he resided in Erie, PA. It was here he was happiest and most at peace.

Along with his parents, Vincent is preceded in death by his sister, Cecilia Fineran.

He is survived by his two daughters and one son, Heather Boldin-Kuntz and husband, William Kuntz, Kristin Steinhaus and husband, David Steinhaus and Trevor Boldin; one sister, Elizabeth Shaffer and husband, Gary Shaffer; one brother Harry Boldin and wife, AeKyong Lee; seven grandchildren, Macy Steinhaus, Audrey Steinhaus, Sydney Steinhaus, Callie Kuntz, Alexander Kuntz, Jett Boldin and Jaisa Boldin; four nieces and nephews, Rachel Hanson, Shane Jansen, Adam Boldin, and Alexis Fineran; seven great nieces and nephews, Lauren Pontes, Easton Jansen, Blaze Jansen, Carter Hanson, Landry Hanson, Dazhariia Godfrey and Dreyson Johnson.

To honor Vincent’s life, a Spreading of the Ashes Ceremony will be held in Erie, PA in July 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the VA Center for Development and Civic Engagement can be made in Vincent’s name here:  https://www.cdceportal.va.gov/donate_online/ .
