Veronica Evada Grant was a compassionate and dedicated nurse who spent her career working in the Intensive Care Unit, providing comfort and care to those in need. Born on June 6, 1941, in Kingston, Jamaica, she brought warmth and kindness into the lives of everyone she encountered.
Veronica's passion for helping others extended beyond her professional life. She had a special talent for expressing her love and appreciation through the written word. Whether it was a heartfelt letter or a thoughtful card, Veronica found joy in connecting with her loved ones through her words.
On July 1, 2023, Veronica passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Additional to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Grant. Together, they nurtured a bond that weathered the storms of life and brought immeasurable joy. Their unwavering support for one another served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Veronica's memory will live on through her children: Donovan Grant, Cassandra Bogle, Christopher Grant, Gary Grant, and Nicholia Grant-Romero. Each one carries a piece of their mother's spirit and embodies the values she held dear. She is also survived by her brother Hopeton Walker and a son-in-law, Richard, and two daughter-in-laws Dagery and Marjorie Grant.
In addition to her immediate family members, Veronica leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Donavan Jr., Stevan, Gregory, India, Matthew, Timothy, Morgan, Sydney, Jonathan and Joshua who were the light of her life. Their laughter filled her days with joy and gave meaning to her role as a grandmother.
To honor Veronica's life and celebrate her countless contributions, a visitation will be held on July 12, 2023. Taking place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Harvest Community Church in Huntersville, NC, friends and family will gather to pay their respects and share fond memories of a remarkable woman.
Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This solemn occasion will provide an opportunity for loved ones to come together and reflect on Veronica's extraordinary life. Her impact on the lives of others will be remembered and cherished during this time of remembrance.
Veronica Evada Grant has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and the written word will continue to inspire generations to come. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
