Travis & Erin Edwards

Travis Wayne Edwards, 22 and Ashely Erin Younce Edwards, 20 of Cherryville, NC passed away together Friday, February 7, 2014. Travis was born September 19, 1991 in Charlotte, the son of Kenneth Wayne Edwards of Charlotte and Regina Jones Edwards Stephens of York, SC. He was employed with Stephens Contracting Co and loved fishing, four wheeling, hunting and the outdoors hanging with his pit bull, Diamond. Erin was born September 8, 1993 in Charlotte, the daughter of Jody Ray Younce of Bessemer City and Brandy Michelle Hylton of Charlotte. She was employed as a hair stylist at Sport Clips and loved anything to do with cosmetology and changing her friend's hair color. She loved to sing and dance and go four wheeling. Travis and Erin loved spending time with their daughter, Holli and loved family nights with Red Box movies and Pizza to go. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. James Jones Jr. (Uncle to Travis and Godfather to Erin) and Rev. Charles Younce ( Erin's Great Uncle) officiating. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00. Travis and Erin are survived by their daughter, Holli Renee Edwards, the love of their life. Travis is survived by his parents, Regina Stephens and husband Garry of York, SC; father, Kenneth Edwards of Charlotte; sister, Tracey Edwards of Charlotte; step brothers, Justin and Jordan Stephens; step sister, Ashley Stephens; maternal grandmother, Emma Jones of Clover, SC; paternal grandparents, Donald and Ernestine Edwards of Stanley; nephew, Kason Stephens and lots of loving extended family and friends. Erin is survived by her mother, Brandy Hylton and husband Greg of Charlotte, father, Jody Younce and wife Angel of Bessemer City, NC; maternal grandparents Dudley and Dianne Lawing, Craig Williams, paternal grandparents, Mitzi and Carroll Younce; great grandparents, Virginia Huffman, Vada Williams; great Aunt, Vaye Williams; step brothers, Willie Brown, Dakota Hylton and Gaige Deese and lots of loving extended family and friends. Travis was preceded in death by brother, James Edwards, maternal grandfather, James " Cowboy" Jones, aunt Tilda Jones, maternal great grandparents, Ellis and Ellen Chavis, paternal great grandparents, Isac and Beatrice Edwards. Erin was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Gertie Younce, great grandfathers, Ray Huffman and Willie Younce, Henry Williams and cousin and best friend, Nicholas Pierce.
