Terry Paschul Cason

Mr. Terry Paschul Cason, 71, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday August 21, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born December 21, 1939 in Plant City, FL he was the son of the late Samuel Kenneth Cason and Thelma Cloe Lane Cason. He was a US Army Veteran, assigned to Fort Jackson and later to Fort Bragg where he was a paratrooper. He lived in Florida and Richmond, VA prior to relocating to Charlotte where he was employed with IBM and later the Meineeke Corp Office, retiring in 2002 as Manager of Accounting. He enjoyed woodworking and most recently recycling wine bottles into beautiful decorative lights. He loved US History and had a great appreciation of Historic Architecture, enjoyed traveling and did genealogical research for over 30 years Along with his wife Mary he retired to The Glen at Highland Creek where he served four years as Chairman of the HOA. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Mary; three children, Deborah Burt Garrett of Charlotte, Kevin Michael Cason and wife Nancy of Jacksonville FL, Kathryn Burt McWhirter and husband Paul of Magnolia TX; four grandchildren, Ethan Garrett, Taylor McWhirter, Ashleigh and Alec Cason; sisters, Glenda Cason Jones and husband Stanley of Iowa, Rae Cason Smith and husband Matt of Atlanta, sister-in-law, Patricia Cason of Florida In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Kenneth Cason. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the donors choice.
