Susan Myers Price

Susan Myers Price, 65, of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully at the home on May 2, 2015 with her son, Jay holding her hand. Susan was born May 23, 1949 in Athens, GA to Gerald Eddie Myers and the late Georgia Crump Myers. She was a wonderful baker and loved to share her renowned cookies. Susan was an avid gardener with such a green thumb that if she put a pencil in the ground, it might grow. She genuinely loved children along with her beloved dogs, Corona, Roscoe, Pilot and grandson Jet. For 15 years, Susan was a teacher and for a time Director of the Daycare at Huntersville First Baptist Church. Susan touched so many lives as she was so easy to love, and she set such an example on how to live life to the fullest despite her health struggles. Along with her father, Susan leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 41 years, James Lloyd Price, Jr. (Jim) ; son, James Edward Price of Huntersville; brothers, Van Myers of Georgia, David Myers of Denver, NC; sisters, Ann Duncan of Georgia, Kathryn Ilvedson, of San Francisco, CA; a very special aunt, Ruby Hatley; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday May 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with the Revered Robin Tanner, assisted by the Reverend Justin Martin officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Susan's family would like to thank Hospice of Lake Norman, Dr. Eagle and Lake Norman Hematology & Oncology for their love and compassionate care.
