Cornelius - Steve Satala passed away on Sunday February 12, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a fighter that lived life to the fullest, and in typical Steve fashion left us with a smile on his face. Steve was born on August 7, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to Donna Satala and the late Stephen J. Satala Steve was married to Laurene (Laurie) Poczos Satala on April 16, 1983. He was a loving and devoted father to his two daughters, Cassie Satala Ford and Kristen Satala Richards. Steve had a passion for music and travelling throughout his life. Steve was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he impacted the lives of his colleagues and clients over the past 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Satala; his mother, Donna Satala; his sister, Cheri Arundel; two daughters, Cassie Satala Ford and Kristen Satala Richards; son-in-laws, Matthew Ford and Michael Richards; nephew, Auggie Arundel; and nieces, Jamie Arundel, Cali Arundel and Jordan Arundel. Also surviving are in-laws, Ray and Diane Poczos; brother-in-law, Kevin Poczos; and sister-in-laws, Cheryl Carr, Debbie Sullivan and Donna Poczos. He was predeceased by his father Stephen J. Satala. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 15 from 7 to 9 pm at 21414 Rosslare Court, Cornelius, North Carolina. Services will be conducted Thursday, February 16 at 3:00 at Davidson United Methodist Church, 233 South Main Street, Davidson, North Carolina. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Huntersville, NC is assisting the family.
