Stephen Armand Methot, 66, of Cornelius, NC passed away Sunday July 21, 2013 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House Huntersville, NC surrounded by his family and close friends Nancy Moscato and Sarah Crist. Stephen was born June 13, 1947 in Boston, MA to the late Armand and Jeanne Cole Methot. Stephen served his country in the Air Force in Vietnam. Stephen was very active in the Boy Scouts of America where he was the District Commissioner in the Juanita District and earned his wood badge. His memberships also included the Masonic Lodge #738 AF & AM of Paw Creek, NC , Shriners, Scottish Rite , Christ Community Church and Wings of Eagles. Stephen enjoyed flying, and held a pilot's license, and boating where he held a captains license. He was a classic car enthusiast and a former police officer in Hanover, MA. Stephen retired as a manager of New England Telephone Co. Stephen leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jeanne McCabe Methot, daughter; Alexandra Methot, sons; Stephen (Cathy) Methot, Craig (Allison) Methot and Christopher Methot, grandchildren; Craig Methot, Jr., Cole Methot, and Joseph Methot, sister; Jean Walsh. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Methot. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home Huntersville, NC. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday July 25, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Homesley officiating. Interment to follow at Ramah Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
