Sofia Elizabeth Tabaka Komarnycky, 86 of Cornelius, NC died Tuesday May 7, 2013 at Novant Health Charlotte. She was born June 30, 1926 in Ukraine the daughter of the late Alexander Tabaka and Caroline Tiermann Tabaka Along with her husband, the late Bohdan Komarnycky (decease Dec 2007)they owned and operated several resorts, condo rental company and a furniture manufacturing co. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Komarnycky; Grandchildren,Eugene Jarosh and wife Nanette, Nadia Shipley and husband Jack, Andrew Jarosh and wife Katherine; Great Grandchildren, Eleni Jarosh, Alex Jarosh, Peter Shipley and Brother-in-law;Roman Komarnyckyj A funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Queensbury, NY. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George NY. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m.Tuesday evening at Regan, Denny Stafford Funeral Home in Queensbury, NY.
