Shirley Mae Morice

“ I love you more today than yesterday, less than tomorrow.”

Shirley Mae Morice, 87, passed away May 3, 2019 in Huntersville, NC. She was born May 21, 1931 in St. Louis, MO and raised by her loving parents Helen Owens Steinberg and Theo Steinberg.

Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sister and best friend Pat (George) Hoffman. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Norman W. Morice; son Kevin (Fran) Morice of Hoschton, GA; daughter Michelle (Stewart) Heath of Huntersville, NC;  four grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Morice, Chad Morice, Kelsey Heath, and Kami Heath; a great grandson Thomas; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She loved her family so much and gave the best hugs!

Shirley and her husband, Norman recently celebrated their 64^th wedding anniversary. He was the love of her life, and they never had a single argument. She was very handy and enjoyed arts, crafts, and traveling.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Additionally, cards and remembrances to the family would be greatly appreciated.

A private service will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019. Interment will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
