Shirley Ann Mercer

Shirley Ann Bullinger Mercer, 80, of Huntersville, NC passed away on November 21, 2016.

She was born on November 5, 1936 in Gaston County to the late Thomas Bullinger and Lucy Dubois Bullinger.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, David Monroe Mercer and son, Terry Wayne Mercer.

She is survived by her son, David Thomas Mercer (Brenda) and their child, David; son, Garry Brown Mercer (Susan) and their children: Buddy, Caitlin, Christopher, Lydia; and son, Larry Dean Mercer (Gail) and their children, Krystal and Richard.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, traveling, and was a great cook. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, but above all loved her grandkids.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016 in the chapel at the funeral home. A Graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Foundation for the Blind or Diabetes Research Foundation.
