Shirley Michelle Edwards,52, of Davidson, NC died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her home. Born December 23, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas she was a daughter of Frances Oliver Smith of Corpus Christi, TX and the late Don Benedict Smith. She was a Project Management Manager at Wells Fargo in Charlotte and a long time affiliate and past board member of the Project Management Institute. Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday March 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Surginer officiating. The family will receive all visitors following the service. Graveside services will be conducted in Indianapolis, IN. A loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and sister, she is survived by her mother, Frances Johnson; husband, David Meridith Edwards; children, Sarah Fawne Edwards, David Benedict Edwards and Michelle Meredith Edwards; siblings, Joe Dale Hunter of Seadrift, TX, Barbara Surginer of Corpus Christi, TX, Stormy Costanza of Albuquerque, NM, Meledy Meeks and Steve Davis of Corpus Christi, TX and Karey Benedict of Grand Rapids, MI. The family will be accepting flowers or memorials in Shirley's memory at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and Cremation Service; or donations may be made in her honor to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 212 S Tryon Street Suite 1080, Charlotte NC 28281.
