Shirley Lawing Richard Dellinger

Shirley Lawing Richard Dellinger, 74 of Lincolnton, NC joined her Heavenly Father, Sunday August 17, 2014 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Born April 13, 1940 in Lincolnton, NC she was the daughter of the late Vance Heavner Lawing and Clara Rinehardt Lawing. She was a lifetime member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church where she was the pianist and retired administrative assistant in the banking industry. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating, assisted by Rev. Ernest Richards and Rev. Andrew Royals. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at the church. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Coleman Dellinger, daughter, Dyra R. Eaker and husband, Lester Eaker, Jr of Lincolnton, grandchildren Andrew C. Childs of Columbus, Oh and Daniel A. Eaker of Lincolnton and grandson, Brady Childs. She is also survived by her step-children; Susie Houk and husband Rick of Lincolnton, Debbie Wood and husband Bill of Charlotte, Kenneth Wilkinson and wife Shirley of Lincolnton; step-grandchildren, Justin Ellis and wife Julie of Homestead, NC, Jake Wilkinson and wife Anna, Eaton Wilkinson both of Lincolnton, Tyler Wood of Charlotte and step-great grandchildren, Owens, Gavin and Evan Ellis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Dale Richard. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, 6815 E. Hwy 150, Maiden, NC 28650.
