Sherrie Lynn Hicks Gilmore

Sherrie Lynn Hicks Gilmore, 66, of Kannapolis, North Carolina passed away on April 12, 2018.

 Lynn was born in Charlotte, NC on February 28, 1952 to her father Earl Smith and the late Rena Smith.

 Lynn is survived by her father and sisters Susan Johnsen and Sandra McVay.  Also, her two children: Dallas William Read and Autumn Lynn Read – Schackert. 

 But her legacy is alive most in her 4 grandchildren: Austin Read, Violet Read, Sadella Schackert and Salem Schackert. 

 Visitation will be held this Saturday April 21, 2018 at 10am followed by service at 11am to Celebrate this wonderful life.  Location will be Hickory Grove Baptist Church – North Campus.

 Memorial donation can be made to the Jeff Gordon Children’s hospital where Lynn loved volunteering her time.

 Lynn Loved her family, friends, church and everything life had to offer.  Most will say she was always smiling and full of energy ready to go on some great adventure.  She had a true passion for loving kids and helping them learn academics but also import things in life…faith, manners and hard work.

 Her favorite things later in life were her grandkids. Being a grandmother was her most desired accomplishment.
