Shellena Bentley

Shellena Bentley, 68, of Charlotte, NC passed away on November 8, 2018. She was born in Pontiac, MI on April 18, 1950 to the late George Lifield and Margertte Eloise Smith Hall.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her daughters, Donitta Bentley, Carmen Bentley; brothers, Philip Walker, Herman Walker, and Joseph Litfield.

Shellena is survived by her son, Gerald Bentley of Fontana, CA; daughter, Calvise Bentley of Detroit, MI; son, Raymond Bentley of Maddison Heights, MI; daughter, Shatonya Bentley of Detroit, MI; sister, Glenda Love of Charlotte, NC; brother, Dwayne Sawyer of Boston, MA; sister, Gabriella Baldwin of Saginaw, MI; brother, Lonnie Litfield of St. Louis, MI; brother, Anthony Litfield of St. Louis, MI; brother, Larry Litfield of Detroit, MI. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren.

Shellena was awarded by American Red Cross two Certificates of Appreciation for her service in the 2005 Katrina Relief and for Hurrican Season Disaster Relief. She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Pontiace. MI and a member of the Second Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Cobbs Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48341.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Cobbs Funeral Home.
