Shelia Ann Sherrill

Shelia Ann Sherrill passed away on December 12, 2023. Born on July 15, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, she was a remarkable woman whose nurturing spirit touched the lives of all those who had the privilege to know her.

Shelia led a life filled with compassion and selflessness. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to ensuring their happiness and well-being. A loving and devoted wife, Shelia was married to Roger Sherrill and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.

In addition to being a devoted wife, Shelia embraced the role of mother with unwavering love and tenderness. Her sons Mackie Sherrill, Mark Sherrill and his wife Lori were blessed to have her as their guiding light and role model. Shelia's love for her children knew no bounds, and she showered them with affection and support throughout their lives.

Family meant everything to Shelia. She treasured the bonds she shared with her late parents Ralph and Sudie Taylor, and her sisters Jo Ann and Brenda.

Shelia will forever be remembered by her surviving family and dear friends who have been deeply impacted by her presence. Her brother Junior Taylor, accompanied by his wife Hilda, and brother Harvey Taylor and wife Debra. Susan Grimes, Shelia's beloved sister and her husband Rodney, were confidants and allies in the face of any challenge. Lonnie Sherril and his wife Linda, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, share a collective grief that testifies to the profound impact Shelia had on their lives.

As we gather to remember Shelia Ann Sherrill, let us reflect on the beautiful soul she was. May her memory serve as a constant reminder of the importance of love and selflessness. She will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts, and her legacy will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all those whose lives she touched.

Services for Shelia Ann Sherrill will be held on December 20, 2023. A Graveside Service will take place at Martha's Chapel Cemetery at 11:00 AM. This final opportunity to bid farewell is where we can offer our last expressions of love and gratitude for the incredible person Shelia was.
