Sharon Schoonmaker

Sharon Schoonmaker, 78, passed away on December 7, 2022 in Huntersville, NC.  She was born on June 24, 1944 in Chattanooga, TN, to the late Maurice King and Ellen Hanson.

Sharon married Thomas Schoonmaker on June 13, 1967. The couple had 2 children, Shauna Hart of Cornelius, NC and Scott Schoonmaker, of Tampa, FL.

Sharon was best known for her faith in God, dedication to her family, and her unwavering love for her country. She loved shopping and collecting pictures, mostly of her family.  Her pride and joy came from her children and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her daughter; Shauna Hart (Brett), her son;  Scott Schoonmaker,  four grandchildren;  Joshua Hart, Brianna Hart, Shelby Schoonmaker, Spencer Schoonmaker and one sister; Anita Tatum.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Schoonmaker and her brother;  Don Reese King.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date, in the New Year.  Information for the service will be posted once determined.

Memorial donations can be made in Sharon's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
