Sharnon "Ernie" Dale Auten

August 3, 1949 — February 19, 2022

Sharnon "Ernie" Dale Auten, 72, of Huntersville, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was born in Huntersville, on August 3, 1949, the daughter of the late John Edmond Auten and Ethel Mae Lambert Auten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Connie Luther, and Bonnie Lambert; and her nephews, Joseph Williams, and Charles Lambert.

Sharnon was an avid softball player and also loved to bowl. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, whom she spent all of her free time with.   

Sharnon is survived by her sister, Bessie Williams; brother, Johnny Auten, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Jackie Auten, Teresa Davis (Webb), Crystal Slebioda (James), Danny Luther (Robin), Lisa Floyd, Judy Guardado (Moises), Tonya Auten; great nieces and nephews, Laura Wilhelm, Morgan Gillespie (Josh), Christina Smith, Megan Myers, Samantha Auten, Felicia Boland (Brett), Connie Napier (Travis), Samantha Luther, CJ Floyd, Ryan Floyd (Shelby), Erika Floyd, Kenya Guardado, Jimmy Leming, Keri West (Tanner), Kristofer Davis; and eight great-great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center, Huntersville.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 12:00 P.M., at the funeral home with Reverend Sheldon Davis officiating.
