Scott Tilmon Mikeal, Jr.

Scott Tilmon Mikeal, Jr., 80, of Stanley, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on November 25, 2016. Scott was born January 23, 1936 to the late Scott Tilmon Mikeal and Laura Leo Hunt Mikeal. He retired as the manager of the former A&P Grocery at Park Rd. Shopping Center and was the owner/operator of Scotts Gun and Pawn Shop in Cornelius. Scott was a member of Lake Norman Baptist Church where he served as church deacon and head usher and also a member of Neighborhood Church in Huntersville for the past few years.

Scott is survived by his loving family; wife, Kathryn Rayburn Mikeal; daughters, Debra Lynn Mikeal Smith and her husband Rick, of Maiden, NC and Sandra Elaine Mikeal Hudson and her husband Joe of New London, NC; brother, William Mikeal of Charlotte; grandchildren, Summer Thornton, Chere Raye, Chanon Smith, and Angela Mills; great-grandchildren, Hope, Hannah, Cameron, Brinley, Maggie, and Atlanta.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Lake Norman Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.
