Sarah Elizabeth Allen,19, of Oak Island, NC died on Monday, October 3, 2011 as a result of a car accident. She was born on November 27, 1991 in Charlotte, NC. to Robert M. Allen, Jr. and Deborah Blythe Allen. Sarah was currently attending Brunswick Community College for cosmetology. She also worked for the past three years at Taco Bell/KFC in Southport, NC. She loved going to the beach and playing volleyball near Yaupon Pier and spending time with her friends. Sarah was a member of Oak Island Presbyterian Church where she participated in the youth program. Along with her parents she is survived by her three brothers Joseph Allen of Brunswick County, NC, Rob Allen and Rick Allen of Colorado and sister, Marci Allen of Utah, grandmother Betty Allen of Glen Alpine, NC and grandfather Robert M. Allen, Sr. of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Charles Harold Blythe and Dolores Simpson Blythe. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish her memory. Friends will be received on Friday October 7, 2011 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Huntersville, NC. Pall bearers are her cousins, Jerry Blythe, Peyton Allen, Paxton Allen, Zack Kwasny and Chris Kwasny. A memorial service will be held on the beach at Yaupon Pier on Saturday, October 15,2011 at 2:00pm Friends are encouraged to come and share special memories of Sarah. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 8600 Mt. Holly Huntersville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
