Samira J. Zoobi, 28, of Asheville, NC passed away on September 29, 2024 as a victim of flooding due to Hurricane Helene.
Samira was born on February 17, 1996 to Fadi and Colette Zoobi in Jacksonville, FL. While living in Huntersville, NC, Samira graduated from Davidson Day School. She went on to study New Media with a minor in Anthropology at UNC Asheville.
After graduating she worked as a graphic designer, most recently at Asheville T-shirt Company.
Samira was a creative spirit and generous soul. She provided support to her family and friends, always a strong advocate for those who needed a voice. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the community in Asheville.
Samira was predeceased by her grandfather Ahmad Zoobi; grandpop Leonard Salvage; grandmother Janet Salvage; and Pop Pop Al Mirth.
She is survived by her parents Fadi and Colette; grandmothers Sandra Lucas and Salam Daboussi; Aunt Tracy Salvage; Uncle Omar Zoobi and Aunt Ola Zoobi; Uncle Jay Locher and Aunt Kitty Locher; and cousins Ian, Salam, Mira and Dalia.
Services/Celebration of Life will be held at Raymer-Kepner Funeral home located in Huntersville, NC on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Service is at 2:00pm with a reception from 3:00 - 5:00pm.
