Salvatore "Sal" Lawrence Caraco, 67, of Huntersville, and originally from Johnstown, New York, passed away on November 30, 2021. He was born in Amsterdam, New York on July 28, 1954, the son of the late Salvatore "Sam" Caraco and Carmelia Caraco. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved fur babies Abby, and Emma. He was an educator, coach, writer, mentor, weight lifter, motorcycle rider, avid reader, and fitness enthusiast. He loved and enjoyed his fur babies as they brought him great joy. While he loved the Cleveland Browns, they have brought him great sadness. He was a collector of people, all of whom fell in love with him and maintained deep connections throughout his life. He is cherished, he is missed, and the world is a little emptier without him in it.
Sal is survived by his wife, Cherene Caraco; daughters, Kylie Taylor, and Brooke Caraco; son-in-law, Dave Taylor; grandchildren, Hayden, Hannah, and Hailey Taylor; sister, Roseann Doran (Bill); brothers, Joseph Caraco (Virginia), Carmen Caraco (Michelle), Francis Caraco (Betsy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sal chose to be cremated and wished to not have a memorial service. Due to his dedication to mental health and suicide prevention, he requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Promise Resource Network in Charlotte, NC. www.promiseresourcenetwork.org
