Sally Lee Arbaugh, 81, passed away March 1, 2019 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
She was born January 13, 1938 in Chambersburg, PA to Thomas and June Spahr. Sally was happily married to Franklin Arbaugh for 60 years.
Sally graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School and went on to complete her RN Nursing Degree at York Hospital School of Nursing.
Sally worked at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware and Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, Delaware. She then went on to work for Dr. Thomas E. Dyer from 1988 until 2003 when she retired.
Sally and Frank moved to Charlotte, NC in November 2003 to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.
They then became members of University City United Methodist Church where Sally became very active and enjoyed spending her time serving, helping and giving to the community.
Sally was a loving, giving, kind, gracious and beautiful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a son David Alan Arbaugh.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Arbaugh; her sons Michael (Karen) Arbaugh of Kennett Square, PA and Jeffery Arbaugh of Cornelius, NC; and her daughters Elizabeth Norris of Huntersville, NC; Susan (Douglas) Thornburg of Huntersville, NC.
She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, Matthew, Mackie, Tommy, Tucker, Ben, Clark, Alex, Buxton, Katie, and Trey; one great grandchildren, Aubree; one sister, Christine Harrington; two nephews John Harrington and Rob Harrington; and two niece Laurie Croasdale and Kelly Hemsley.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at University United Methodist Church located at 3835 W W.T.Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28269.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University United Methodist Church or Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Sally’s honor.
