Ruth Bowman Isenhour

Ruth Elizabeth Bowman Isenhour, 94, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Ruth was born in Alexander County on Oct. 10, 1927 to the late, Carol M. Bowman and Merlie Stafford Bowman.  Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, she was a lifetime member of United Methodist Women, and she and Hayden loved to square dance.  She also loved to play cards with her favorite ladies, and cooked, baked and sewed all of her children's clothes. 

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by Sandy Ritch (daughter); Lyndsey Laney- Mitchell (granddaughter); 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by Susan Laney (Mike); Cheryl Wilson (Tod); 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday August 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM with the funeral service starting at 11:00 AM.  A burial will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery.
