Mrs. Jensen (Kinney) was born April 15, 1918 at Winnebago, Minnesota to Guy and Ethel (Mason) Kinney. She lived with her family on a small acreage south of Winnebago. She attended Huntley School and shortly after, started working at various restaurants. She married Alfred O., (Sparky) Jensen in the little brown church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa on April 3, 1939. She, her husband, and son lived in Winnebago for several years where she worked in the Winnebago Produce before being transferred to Wells, MN. with Musser and CO.. Two more children later, they relocated to Butterfield, MN. where they owned Sparky’s Café until 1985. Due to Alfred’s health they moved to North Carolina until his death in 1995, where upon she went to live with her son Robert in Minnesota.
She is survived by her son, Robert, Sr. (Lesli), of Fergus Falls, MN; daughter, Rosemary (Clinton) Turner of North Carolina; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husband she is preceded in death by her son, Wayne; four sisters, Guylett Masters, Emma Schmidt, Rutha and Martha Kinney, and one brother Herbert.
A visitation will be held Sunday evening April 2, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Monday April 3, 2017 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday with a burial following at Mimosa Cemetery in Davidson.
