Ruby D. Amico

Ruby D. Amico, 96, of Huntersville, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born in Mt. Holly on December 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Edgar and Edith Hager. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Amico, formerly of Mooresville; brothers, William Hager, Lonnie Hager, Joyce Hager; and sister, Mary Ferguson.

Prior to being a resident at Lakeside Nursing Home in Huntersville, NC, she resided in Mooresville, NC for forty-five years with her late husband, JJ Amico. Ruby found pleasure in being with her family and enjoying the beauty of her home and yard, especially the azaleas and dogwoods. She was an excellent cook and loved having family gatherings with her family around the table.

Ruby is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jerry Gardener of Huntersville, Charmaine and Reed Vought of Cornelius; son and daughter-in-law, John and Sharon Amico of Spring, TX; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
