Ronnie David Gibson, Sr., 74, passed away on October 28, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. He was born in Mecklenburg County on November 8, 1943 to the late James "Bill" Gibson and Dorothy Mae McCarn.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Beth Gibson; Son David Gibson (Diane) and Josh Gibson (Rebecca); and grandchildren, Lydia, Danielle, Chloe, and Mallory.

Ronnie was a retired Charlotte fireman as an engineer for 30 years. He enjoyed horses, the rodeo, riding his tractor, oatmeal cookies and banana pudding. Ronnie was also an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1:30PM to 3:00PM at Unity Presbyterian Church located at 8210 Unity Church Road, Denver, NC 28037. The funeral service will follow at 3:00PM. The Inurnment will follow the service at Unity Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
