Ronald "Ron" Bruce Shafer

Ronald "Ron" Bruce Shafer, 60 of Charlotte, NC formerly of Export, PA died May 21, 2014 at his residence. Born December 3, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of Geraldine Karnes Shafer of Delmont, PA and the late Walter Shafer. Ron was a member of Murrysville Alliance Church in Murrysville PA and Speedway HOG. He was a self employed owner operator truck driver for 25 years. He was employed with NEP Super Shooters, Inc, NASCAR circuit. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, May 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius, NC. The family will receive friends Friday evening May 23, 2014 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. In addition to his mother, Geraldine, Ron leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carol ; son, Craig Shafer and wife Kristy of Huntersville, NC; daughter, Amanda Robin and husband Matthew of West Palm Beach, FL; granddaughters, Haley and Reilly Shafer. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Murrysville Alliance Church, 4130 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA 15668. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
