PARKS, Ronald L. of Rock Hill, SC a retired Regional Manager with SHARP Electronics, went on to be with his beloved wife, Sandy Parks, on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the age of 77. He was born March 15,1940 in Parksley, VA, to Braxton and Elizabeth Parks. Ronnie, served in the 82nd Airborne Division and went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where he help founded the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter and received his Bachelor of Science in 1972. It was in Richmond, where he met and fell in love with his wife Sandy, whom he was married to for 37 years. Ronnie was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was an exceptional golfer and loved playing at Hermitage Country Club, and in his later years, Pinetuck Golf Club. He also loved being on the boat with his family, on the beach out on Isle of Palms, or in front of a Redskins Football game. Ronnie was always ready for good fun, beach music, shaggin' and being surrounded by friends and family. He is predeceased by his wife, Sandra Bryson Parks and his parents Braxton and Elizabeth Parks. He is survived by his children, Lindsey Parks Andrews and husband Christopher Roland Andrews of Charleston, SC and Bryson Charles Parks and his wife Sandra Stansberry Parks of Stanley, NC. Surviving also are his grandchildren, Grayson Bradford Andrews and Campbell Bryson Andrews of Charleston SC, Alexia Paige Chapman of Stanley, NC and his brother, Carter Braxton Parks and family of Parksley, VA.
The family and friends plan to come together the weekend of October 20-22 for two separate memorials. The first memorial service will be a Military Service held on Friday, October 20 at 1:00 pm at the Salisbury National Cemetery - 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC. The Family will also receive friends at a private home in Mooresville, NC at 4:00 pm on Saturday October 21st. The family would like to invite all family and friends to join us in a celebration of Ronnie's life, where we will enjoy a catered dinner of his favorite foods and remember him in the way he would want those close to him to.
