Roberta Howard

Heaven is by invitation only and on August 18, 2018, Roberta Howard, of Los Angeles, CA  who resided in Davidson, NC until she received her special VIP invitation to get her wings and be with our Lord.

Roberta was born August 14, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Berry Jackson and Mamie Neal Jackson, but grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, and later moved to Los Angeles, California.

Along with her parents, Roberta is preceded in death by her two sisters; Virgie L. Wiggins, Rosemary Ford; brother, Leon Jackson; son, Bruce A. Parrish; and Grandson, Bruce A. Parrish, Jr.

She is survived by her husband; Joseph P. Howard, youngest brother LV Jackson, her daughter, Lorraine Parrish; granddaughters, LaKeesha Parrish-Flemming (Da’Mon) and Monique Parrish; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jay’d, Zanoree, Mah’lon, Ny’ah, and Phyness; two great-great-grandchildren, Amorah and Savannah; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also survived by numerous friends whose lives she greatly impacted with her phenomenal sweet spirit and wise words to live by.

Roberta loved her family and the Lord. She was a member of the West Angeles Church in Los Angeles, CA the home of Bishop Charles Blake. Roberta offered her unconditional love and support to people through every aspect of life. She opened her home and heart to everyone. Roberta was a very active member of her community. She was the owner of several Head Hunters beauty salons in Los Angeles and Hollywood and when you were her guest she rolled out the red carpet to make you feel right at home. Roberta and husband had the first African- American owned office supply and stationery store in the historic district of Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw area.

Memorial contributions can be made to Lake Norman Hospice in Roberta’s honor at 705 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. will prepare and return Roberta home.

Roberta and family wish to invite you to her coming home celebration and memorable service which will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM located at Tillman Mortuary Chapel, 2874 Tenth Street, Riverside, California 92507.

At 1:00 PM Roberta final resting place will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Riverside, California.

Roberta's neverending and powerful words to you all, "Everything is in Divine Order".
