Robert Wade Starnes, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Wade Starnes, Jr., 71, of Charlotte passed away peacefully on May 11, 2018 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC.

Bobby was born September 24, 1946 in Mooresville, NC to the late Robert Wade Starnes and Mary Young Starnes.  He served his country proudly in the US Army. He enjoyed all types of racing, including NASCAR and drag racing and recreational shooting.

Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Tony, and ex-wife Carolyn Diane Starnes.

Bobby is survived by his loving family; wife, Catherine Arbucci Starnes; son, Jeffrey Robert Starnes of Charlotte; daughters, Sharon Ledford of Kings Mt., Kristy Gilman of Gastonia, Robin McCarver of Greenville, SC; two grandsons; one great granddaughter; brother, Donny Starnes and sister Ann Hyde.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville.  Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rick Felts officiating.
