Robert Joseph Perry, Jr.

Robert Joseph Perry, Jr., of Denver, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2022.

Bob was born in Kingston, New York, in 1934 to the late Robert Perry, Sr., and Mary Naccarato. He grew up in Kingston surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bob went off to Siena College and returned to Kingston with a hard-earned diploma and started his IBM career in 1955. Not long after that he met and married Marilyn Johnson.  Bob and Marilyn had three small children when they left their first home in Lake Katrine, NY, for Rockville, MD. Their fourth child would be born a few years after that. Bob and Marilyn wouldn’t leave Rockville again until Bob retired for the final time, allowing them to spend their winters on the west coast of Florida.  They eventually became full time Florida residents where every day was a good day to play golf.  But they missed their children and grandchildren and around 2005 moved half way back to Sunset Beach, North Carolina.  After Marilyn’s death, Bob moved back to Maryland, then back to Sunset Beach and finally to Denver, North Carolina.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, and his parents.  He is survived by his loving sister, Margie Ferraro, his four children, Kathi, Bob (Jackie), Debbie, and Joe (Michelle), eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be planned for late June in Rockville, MD.
