Robert Koring

Robert (Bob) Paul Koring, 89, of Cornelius, NC, passed away on December 2, 2020. Bob was born in Faribault, MN on March 23, 1931, to the late, Paul and Renata (Graves) Koring. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by son, Rick Koring of Corcoran, MN, infant brother, Roger Koring, and brother-in-law, Marvin Jensen. He is survived by wife, Bonnie Koring; three daughters, Nancy (and Dave) Deem of Buffalo, MN, Debby (and Jack) Johnson of Mooresville, NC, Tracy (and Steven) Lyon of Cornelius, NC; six grandchildren; Jerick, Alysa, Summer, Adam, Mercedes, Paige; many great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (and Annette) Koring of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Janet Jensen of Owatonna, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob married Bonnie (Campbell) in Rockford, IL on February 7, 1975. Bob received his BS in Education from Concordia Teachers College of River Forrest, IL. Bob was always an active member in church. Bob was a dedicated and hard-worker, teaching for 38 years, retiring from the School District of Janesville, WI. After retiring, Bob (and Bonnie) moved to MN and became “snow birds”, traveling to Florida for 16 years. Bob enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, hunting, golfing, woodworking, and was an avid Viking fan. Bob instilled faith and unconditional love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be determined. 

Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association and Community in Christ Lutheran Church in Cornelius, NC.
