Robert Brooks, Jr.

Mr. Robert B. Brooks Jr.,77, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Hyde Park, NY, joined his beloved wife Jayne on July 29, 2013. "Bob" was born in Allentown, PA and attended Allegheny College. After serving in the U.S. Army, he became a development director for various institutions of higher education. In his later life he was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church and served for 14 years. He retired to Charlotte, NC in 2008 to be closer to his daughters. He is survived by his five children Amy Brooks, Pam Clarkson, Ken Young, Kim Smith, Katrina Emerick and 10 deeply loved grandchildren Evelyn, Hannah, Alexander, Jeffery, Rebecca, Anthony, Benjamin, Kelsey, Tyler and Matthew. Services will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Messiah, in Rhinebeck, NY on Sunday, August 18, at 4:00 pm.
