Robert "Bobby" Lee Luther, Jr.

Robert "Bobby" Lee Luther, Jr., 76, of Charlotte, passed away September 14, 2016.  Born September 18, 1939 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Luther and Elsie Virginia Batts.  He was a long time truck driver and was the Owner/Operator of R&R Trucking.  Bobby was also an Entrepreneur and always being active.  He especially loved to work on his 1965 Ford pick-up truck and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and his dogs.  Bobby never had an enemy and he would do anything for anyone who needed his help.
 
 Surviving him is his wife, Merneen Conn Luther; son, Robert Lee Luther III (Josie Frazier); grandkids, Wyatt Robert Lee Luther and Ayden Frazier; brother, William Taylor Luther (Tina) and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Richard Stuart, Tommy Irving and Martin Luther.

A funeral service will be Tuesday September 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.  A burial will be held, following the service, at Mt. Zion Church Community Cemetery.
