Robert John Ambrovich

Robert John Ambrovich Sr. 78, of Huntersville, NC passed peacefully to our Lord surrounded by his loving family, Sunday September 11, 2011. Born in Masontown, PA on November 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Julia Matson of Masontown, PA and Andy Simon of Edenborn, PA.

Mr. Ambrovich is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances Atkins Ambrovich; four daughters, Mrs. Ann Marie Trul of Troy, MI, Ms. Valerie Kay Ambrovich of Houston, TX, Mrs. Debra Jeanne Usher of Charlotte, NC, Ms. May Jo Ambrovich of Delray Beach, Fl; son, Mr. Robert John Ambrovich, Jr. of Millersburg, PA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Robert Ambrovich.

Mr. Ambrovich moved to Williamsport, PA in 1952 and built a business as an HVAC and Electrical Contractor. He was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, PA and worked as a volunteer for Duboistown Fire Department for many years. He was an active member of Beech Ridge Hunting Camp since 1962. He retired in 2004, owner and president of Bob Ambrovich Electric Co, Amber Rental, Ambrovich Rental and the Williamsport Building Office Complex and relocated to Charlotte. He was an avid Penn State, Steelers Football and Little League Baseball fan.

Bob will be remembered by many for his compassion and caring as well as, no challenge was ever too great to overcome. His love for his family and friends was the most important part of his life; all who were present with him during his final days of his life. We will all miss his big smile and positive attitude.

A Memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday September 13, 2011 at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday October 8, 2011 at St. Johns Brick Church in Montgomery, PA.
